Reason

about

Reason was a central song for the show 800 Breaths at Southbank Centre. Holed up in the ceiling of the Royal Festival Hall for 40 shows, the KlangHaus Collective and bunches of beautiful strangers, the moment this song rang out everyone became one. Secretly this song reflects the dismantling of the NHS, on the surface a fairy tale, beneath, a lament. These are the folks who deserve the maximum wage. Enjoy the noise and Sal's wonderful cinematic world.
Reason is the third track released from the Ordinary Things Album due for released September 2022.

lyrics

Reason

Reason within reason
Spill the blood and guts
Feeling in the feeling
Death by a thousand cuts
Your face is giving it away

Stitches in stitches,
The servant’s now a slave
Buried in the shallowest of graves

Bodies on bodies
And every souls for sale
Stories within stories
Might live to tell the tale
Your face is giving it away
face is giving it away

Needless endless needles
fable us to sleep
Painless there is always time to weep
There’s enough, iron in the body to make a coffin nail.

Angles inside angles
The angels turn this wheel
Bleeding, there is time enough to heal
There’s enough Mercury on your lips to kiss us all to death.

Conceived in a vast DDR radio studio and developed under self-imposed limitations and rules of spontaneity, it is a daring, raw, fragile and bold expression blending experimentation, art, noise, melody and kosmische attitude ... more
